About Us
Blue Mic is RAMPANTLY's cornerstone comedy show. Founded in May 2020 as a crash site for out-of-work stand-up comics affected by the Covid pandemic, Blue Mic is the first virtual comedy open mic to ticket shows and pay its comics. In our first year of operation, we offered up more than $500 in profit-sharing with our comedians. Every comic who participates with Blue Mic can invite audiences to purchase show tickets for a commission of $1 /ticket for regular shows and $2-$5/ticket for special shows.
The Blue Mic show is also the birthplace of the "Comeday" 24-hr International Joke Day Live Feed Stand-up Comedy Marathon, which RAMPANTLY now runs annually on July 1st. RAMPANTLY''s first annual Comeday marathon came together on July 1, 2020, thanks to the hard work of Blue Mic comics after only our sixth week in existence! This marathon featured more than 200 comedians from 100+ cities worldwide and was produced by the host of Blue Mic, Joli Rx.

As of August 17, 2021, Blue Mic has returned to its 6:00pm PST / 9:00pm EST time slot every Tuesday night. Set length is 5 minutes for comics who list two hours or more before showtime and 4-minutes for drop-ins. The total show length is 90 minutes.
The Blue Mic show also features a "Speed Round" for all comics who stay til the end of the show. The Speed Round offers comics an extra 1 minute of joke-telling with a quick-paced spotlight style.
The Blue Mic show is recorded in front of a live studio audience. Comics can request a copy of their cut set tape for a small donation to the RAMPANTLY platform. We encourage members to post their set tapes on social media to build their own comedy brands and foster an increased awareness of virtual comedy and the RAMPANTLY platform.
